I am a retired small animal veterinarian and have been a dog agility enthusiast for the past 20 years. I have trained many breeds to achieve high levels of success in the sport of agility.  Several of our dogs have earned best of breed awards in agility.  Many have been awarded Master Agility Champion honors and in 2021 my Shetland Sheepdog and I won the UKI National Agility Championship.  My husband, Mike, is a retired entrepreneur and is an avid pickleball player and woodworker. We live in Western NC, 30 minutes from Asheville, surrounded by beautiful mountains and waterfalls.

We got our first Berner 30 years ago and we immediately fell in love with the breed. Our second Berner was a very big and sweet boy, weighing in at around 130 lbs.

Sadly, both boys passed away from cancer at an early age (before turning 7). We were devastated and vowed to help improve the health and longevity of the breed when we retired and had time to devote to breeding and raising puppies the right way.

Now, as a retired couple, we are passionate about our mission to breed and train Bernese Mountain Dogs, utilizing our extensive knowledge of health, breeding, raising, and training dogs with the goal of breeding dogs that are first and foremost healthy companions with great temperaments.  We also strive to retain the functional characteristics of the breed by focusing on athletic ability required to excel in performance sports, such as agility, dock-diving, rally, obedience, etc.  Whether you are seeking a performance partner or a loving, fun companion, we aim to work with you to provide you with the right puppy that you will cherish as a member of your family.
